2004 (K4) No know issues. Silver frame, swingarm & luggage rack. Similar instrument cluster as updated 04 DL1000. Dry weight 190kg (418 lbs).

 

2005 (K5) Black frame & swingarm(Silver before). Lightning Bolt tank graphic. Headlight interrupt when starting.

 

2006 (K6) No changes.

 

2007 (K7) Black luggage rack. Swingarm length increased from 1540mm (60.6") to 1555mm (61.2"). ABS option available. New non user-friendly throttle bodies. Dual spark plug heads. Switch from 16 to 32 bit ECU. Graduated chevron tank graphic. Different exhaust, bigger cat? Underseat tray is shorter between the seat lock assembly and the battery (making room for ABS). Handlebar switches changed with integrated throttle. Dry weight 194kg (427 lbs) for non-ABS model & 197kg (434lbs) for ABS model. All front calipers & master cylinder have been changed. From caliper piston diameter of 30.23mm & Master Cylinder of 15.87mm to caliper 27mm and Master Cylinder 14 mm.

 

2008 (K8) Same as 07 except colors. Rumors of better suspension (firmer) & return of prior 07 HP & Torque. Alternator output increased from 375 to 400 watts.

 

2009 (K9) All steel locknut on rear axle, instead of cotter pin style. Silver wheels on Gray bike. Curb weight: 217 kg (478 lbs), ABS model 220 kg (485 lbs). Mid year price increase to $7499 & ABS model to $7999.

 

2010 (L0) No 2010 models in US. As far as I can tell for the rest of the world there are no changes except avail colors.

 

2011 (L1) For US only ABS model will be available. Clutch lever & clutch switch changed & new starter. Avail in either black or white. New MSRP is $8099.

Effectivement en 2008 l'année ou j'ai acheter mon DL1000...si je me rappele bien le 650 se fesait en noir mat...

Ce sera possiblement ma prochaine moto....en 2013? Je vais d'abord vivre mon "experience G/S"....

 

Mais, une eventuelle Vstrom 650....je la veux en noir mat!
