12Bong13
J'ai trouvé ceci sur le net. C'est une marque anglaise. CCM have just launched their new adventure bike. It's based around the BMW/Husky 450 engine and features a very trick 'bond it' aluminium frame. At only 130kg it's super lightweight quite a departure from the standard heavy weight adventure bike!! It carries 11litres of fuel in the standard rear fuel tank and this is backed up by to side tanks up front. The total fuel capacity should be around 20ish litres giving a range of around 250mls. Of course CCM have choosen to offer some very fine panniers to complement their new bike! We saw the first prototype from CCM Motorcycles of their new 450cc Adventure bike today,at the NEC in Birmingham. It will use the BMW-supplied powerplant, fuel injection & air filter assembly in their own uniquely designed forged aluminium frame. The main rear moulded fuel tank, and the front left side moulded fuel tanks will hold 17 litres, whilst the dummy right side tank contains the air filter, for easy access. Suspension will be 48mm forks, with linkage rear suspension, with novel electronic preload adjustment,to change settings from the switch visible in front of the bars. This can allow adjustment for luggage weight & riding conditions,on the move. We,at Rally-Raid Products, have been involved with this project for the last 12 months, making development parts, and are pleased to see the first show bike. Expected production of a trail/supermoto & adventure versions are autumn 2013. They already have a test trail version being ridden, with favourable results. CCM eh...? A little boutique manufacturer from the heyday of UK off road motorcycles. From reading your facebook "reveal" John, the project has been done in conjunction with your RallyRaid Products UK (those good folks that brough us the much applauded Rallye Kit for KTM's 690 Enduro R) and you been involved in the CCM/Kymco/BMW sourced project since inception...?

The Road of BAM, etc).

For years a vocal minority of adventure riders has been calling for a modern mid-sized adventure bike. With the new CCM GP 450 , they might finally get what they were waiting for . While CCM is not a big name in the U.S., they have a long history of off-road racing success back home in Merry Olde England, where this bike will be built. They're starting with a proven motor- a liquid-cooled 450cc powerplant with DPHC and titanium valves, developed by BMW for their G450X enduros. Now that BMW has discontinued those bikes, CCM has detuned the motor to 40hp (from 52) for durability, and added an external oil reservoir for more volume; service intervals are 5 000 miles. They claim the bike will have a 90 mph top speed, and 70mph cruising speed, wich is adequate for the highway. Off-road is where the new bike should really shine. It has a claimed 286lb dry weight, making it much easier to handle in the rough stuff than even the lightest 650. With 47mm shocks up front (with plenty of rebound damping and compression adjustment) and a rear shock adjustablefor damping, compression and preload, riders should be able to set up the suspension to something that suits their riding styles. Wheels are 21 in front and 18 in rear. CCM says they're working on other bikes using this chassis technology, including a high powered race version. They have raced machines in the Dakar Rally before, winning the manufacturer's trophy in 1998 when all their bikes completed the race. It's probably no coincidence they decided to go with a 450 motor. The 450 will have a 890mm seat height and can ford rivers up to 33 inches deep, as important electronic bits are hidden high behind the headstock, where you'd normally find the gas tank. The bike will be available in the U.K. this fall. But, CCM is anxious to get it to the U.S. as soon as possible. We don't have a MSRP (rumored to be around £8 000 in the U.K.) or arrival date, but for some long-waiting adventure riders, it can't make it here soon enough. Gregou
Edited November 21, 2013 by Gregou
